Foreseenly CashFlow User Manual

A practical starting point for setup, accounts, plans, transfers, auto-clear, loans, net worth, backups, and support.

Quick User Manual

Foreseenly CashFlow opens with a quick live guide that walks you through setup and key controls. You can run it again anytime, just tap “Repeat Tutorial” in the bottom-right of this help screen and it will highlight all the important features so you get real forecast clarity fast.

You can also search the built-in QApps Help or use QApps Help Assistant for common answers. Still stuck or have ideas? Use QApps Help feedback or email support.

P.S. Initially, you will be asked to complete the tutorial. Once you have done so an "All Done" message will appear in the end. Subsequent runs of the tutorial can be canceled but only at the very beginning.

Quick Tip: to start over, you can go to settings (gear icon in the top right corner above the graph) and Erase all Data (at the very bottom of the list). This will in effect restart the tutorial while erasing all data.

Foreseenly™ CashFlow Quick User Manual

A short guide to help you set up accounts, create plans, and understand how your money and net worth may evolve over time.

Plan ahead, avoid surprises.

Getting Started

Foreseenly™ CashFlow comes with several pre-configured accounts to jump-start your forecast: Personal, Business, Spouse, Savings, Lender, Debt and Assets. You can rename, delete, or add accounts via Settings for a personalized setup.
The Combined view integrates all these accounts and, when Net Worth tracking is enabled, includes assets and debts so you can see how your net worth may evolve over time.

Creating Plans

Foreseenly™ CashFlow is built around plans – scheduled inflows and outflows that drive your forecast. To create a plan:

  1. Tap the +/− button on the main list and choose the plan type: Income, Expense, or Loan/Debt.
  2. Complete the form from top to bottom:
    • Category – pick a type (e.g., Salary, Rent, Mortgage). Add a short label if needed.
    • Payment amount – enter the amount the plan will add or subtract.
    • Schedule – under Repeats Every, choose how often the transaction occurs: Once, Day, Week, Semi, Month or Year.
Example: a mortgage might repeat every 1 month; bi-weekly payments repeat every 2 weeks; semi-monthly uses the “Semi” option.
    • Account or Lender – select the account that will receive or pay the funds. For loans, choose a Lender account (or create one) to track the principal.
    • Balance & Interest (loans) – enter the current principal (negative values represent debt) and the annual interest rate (APR).
    • Next due date – set the first payment date; Foreseenly™ CashFlow will schedule future transactions from this point.
  3. Tap Save to add the plan to your forecast.

Editing Plans & Extra Payments

Plans are fully editable from any future date onward. You can modify amounts, frequencies, or start a new schedule without altering past forecasts.
Making an extra payment on a loan:

  1. Open the relevant Lender account.
  2. Tap the +/− button below the balance graph.
  3. Select Principal payment and enter the amount and date.
  4. Tap Save to update the loan balance and future forecasts.

Transfers

To move money between accounts on a schedule, use the Transfer option in the plan’s Optional section.

  • For an expense plan, set Transfers To to the receiving account.
  • For an income plan, set Transfers From to the source account.

Single transactions with transfers aren’t supported directly, but you can simulate a one-off transfer by creating a plan that repeats Once Only.

Automatic vs Manual (Auto-Clear) Processing

By default, Foreseenly™ CashFlow automatically processes each forecasted transaction on its due date: the transaction is archived and the amount is applied to the account balance without any action from you. This works best for regular, predictable transactions.
If you prefer to approve transactions manually (for irregular bills or expenses requiring review), you can mark a plan or individual transaction for manual processing.

  • Auto-Clear ON – transactions clear automatically on the due date.
  • Auto-Clear OFF – transactions must be cleared manually using Process Now with a past date.

If Auto-Clear is off and the date has already passed, use Clear & Backdate when saving to manually clear the transaction.

Loans, Mortgages & Debt

When setting up a Loan or Mortgage plan (see Creating Plans):

  • Exclude escrow amounts from your loan plan. Track escrow as a separate expense on the same schedule.
  • Choose the appropriate loan type (Mortgage, Auto, Credit Card, etc.) and optionally add a label like the bank name.
  • Enter the regular payment, schedule, Lender account, current principal, annual interest rate, and next due date.

In the Net Worth view, ensure the Transfer To field of your loan plan points to the Lender account so the debt is recorded properly.
Extra or irregular payments can be recorded using the steps in Editing Plans & Extra Payments.

Assets & Net Worth Forecasting

Projecting Net Worth: Foreseenly™ CashFlow can project your net worth over time by combining forecasts across all accounts. Enable Net Worth in the All Accounts (Combined) mode to see how your wealth may change.

Linking Assets and Debt

When creating a loan plan (e.g., a mortgage), use the Transfer To field to link payments to your Lender account. When adding an asset like a house or car, use the Lien at field in the Optional section to link the asset to the appropriate lender.
This connection allows Foreseenly™ CashFlow to forecast the asset’s value against the outstanding debt.

Appreciation & Depreciation

Set Appreciation or Depreciation rates to model growth or decline over time. For example:

  • Houses: often around +5% annually.
  • Vehicles: often around −10% annually.

Creating & Managing Asset Accounts

  • Add an Asset account for each asset category you want to monitor.
  • Decide if it holds a single asset (one property or vehicle) or multiple assets (investment portfolio, crypto, etc.).
  • Choose the asset type and currency; Foreseenly™ CashFlow shows the current exchange rate, which you can adjust manually.
  • Set APY or growth/depreciation rate, start date, and compound frequency (monthly by default).

Crypto assets can be modeled with their own volatility and growth rates, and you can use this to mimic other volatile investments like stock portfolios. All asset accounts are tied to your base currency.
Linking Loans to Assets: after setting up a mortgage payment in your personal account, link it to the corresponding asset. You can then view the loan’s amortization schedule under the lender and see the asset’s appreciation automatically.

Settings & Customization

Open Settings by tapping the gear icon above the graph. From here you can adjust:

General

  • Authentication – enable or disable app passcode protection.
  • Years of Forecast – choose how many years ahead to project.
  • Default warning amounts – set low-balance warnings (accounts can override this).
  • Graph type/style – choose your preferred chart.
  • Base currency – change your default currency. Existing plans stay in the old currency and must be recreated if you want them converted.

Crypto Configuration

Set default growth and volatility parameters for cryptocurrencies to influence forecasts.

Categories & Accounts

  • Rename, reorder, or remove categories and accounts.
  • For foreign currency, create an Asset account in that currency; you can’t change the currency of a standard account.

Other Options

  • Export & Import Data – back up your data or move it to another device.
  • Erase all data – permanently remove your data (use with caution).
  • Help – contact support or replay the tutorial.

Backup & Sync

Foreseenly™ CashFlow uses iCloud to keep your forecasts safe. Each device maintains its own backup. Backups run automatically and can also be created manually (to iCloud or local storage).
When you restore a backup, the app creates a local copy first so you can revert if needed.
If you ignore a sync notification and want to restore later, tap the Backup/Sync Ignored bar and choose Restore from the Backup & Sync screen.
If an automatic backup fails (e.g., due to storage or network issues), you can always create a manual iCloud backup from the Backup & Sync screen.

iCloud Sharing

Sharing with a Partner or Spouse

  1. From the bottom bar tap Sync to open Backup & Sync.
  2. Tap the share icon (square with an upward arrow) and send the invite.
  3. Once accepted, they can see your iCloud backups and refresh their data.

Important Notes

  • Sharing is one-way. For two-way sharing, each person must share separately.
  • If both people make changes, restoring the other person's backup will override your current data; changes are not merged.
  • To stop sharing, tap the backup marked “shared by you” and choose to stop sharing.
  • Use Ignore to treat another device as read-only.
  • To hide specific accounts, go to Settings → Accounts, toggle off accounts you don’t want shared, then tap Save.

Working With Assets & Crypto

In addition to basic assets, Foreseenly™ CashFlow can forecast cryptocurrencies and stock portfolios. Each asset can have individual volatility and growth parameters; historic data is pre-configured where available for more realistic projections.
All stock and crypto assets are tied to your base currency; you cannot add them in another currency.

Searches and Filters

You can use full-text Search or Filters in either Forecast mode (future) or Past mode (history). Searching across both modes simultaneously is not currently supported.

Best Practices & Tips

  • Separate escrow from mortgage plans to keep interest calculations accurate.
  • When linking assets and loans, ensure the loan’s Transfer To field uses the correct lender and the asset’s Lien at field is set to that lender.
  • Use appreciation/depreciation rates to model asset changes over time (e.g., around +5% for houses, −10% for vehicles).
  • For single-occurrence transfers or payments, create a plan with frequency Once Only.
  • Always tap Save in Settings and Backup screens to apply changes.
Foreseenly™ CashFlow is designed to help you see ahead, stay calm, and make better decisions with your money.
