Auto-clear transactions
i.e. Process manually / Clear & Backdate yourself
Overview
If Auto-clear is turned off for a transaction or plan, you must clear it manually. Tap to open the transaction and enable “Clear & Backdate” for past-due items before saving to process the transaction right away.
If you’re updating it before or on the due date, just make your changes and turn Auto-clear back on for that transaction before saving. It will then process automatically on the saved due date (including today).
Update:
There is a newer, faster method now for Clearing manual transitions (identified by the little hand indicator). Just swipe right on a transaction to clear it:

A popup will ask you to confirm and select Clearing options:
