Foreseenly CashFlow - Processing & History

Clear & Backdate

Clear transactions into history, choose the right date when needed, and adjust the amount before saving.

Start here: Open the transaction when you need the full date picker or more control. Use the swipe shortcut for quick clearing when the suggested date is already right.

What Clear & Backdate does

Clear moves a transaction from the forecast into history and applies it to the account balance.

Backdate lets the history date match when the transaction actually happened. In older app versions, this was called “Process Early.”

Open the transaction

Use this method when you need to choose a specific date, review the transaction, or change more than the amount.

In Saving Options, turn on Clear & Backdate when you want to clear manually with a specific date.
  1. Open the transaction.
  2. In Saving Options, turn on Clear & Backdate.
  3. Choose the correct date.
  4. Adjust the amount if needed.
  5. Save the transaction.

This is the best option when the transaction happened on a date other than today, yesterday, or the original past-due date shown by Quick Clear.

Swipe to quick clear

For faster cleanup, swipe on a transaction in the forecast list to reveal the blue Clear action. Tap Clear, or keep swiping through the Clear action to run it immediately.

Quick Clear is for common recent clearing. It can offer Today, Yesterday, and, when a transaction is past due, the transaction’s original past-due date.

You can also adjust the amount before clearing, which helps when the posted amount is different from the planned amount.
