Making an Extra Mortgage or Loan Payment

Paying off your debt faster

Overview

If you're making a one-time or irregular mortgage principal payments to decrease your debt (not part of your usual monthly plan) here is how to set it up:

If it is part of the payment, you can simply edit the forecasted payment and add the extra principal to the amount.

If it is a separate payment:

  1. Go to your Lender account.

  2. Tap the “+/-” button located below the balance graph.

  3. Select “Principal payment” from the list.

  4. Enter the amount and choose the specific date the payment will occur.

  5. Save your entry — the app will update your loan balance and future forecasts accordingly.

🧠 Pro Tip: Loan plans are fully editable from any future date onward. This means that you can modify amounts, frequencies, or even set new schedule to begin from any future date on your plan without affecting forecasts that preceded it.
