Foreseenly CashFlow - Getting Started

Quick Start and contextual guides

Use Quick Start to set up your first forecast, then use Learn More and contextual guides for short walkthroughs inside the app.

Start here

Foreseenly uses two guide systems so help appears at the right moment:

  • Quick Start helps you create the first forecast.
  • Contextual guides explain screens and forms while you are using them.

If you are new to the app, start with Quick Start. If you are already inside the app and want help with a specific feature, look for Learn More or the contextual guide for that screen.

Quick Start

Quick Start (available since version 1.17.0) is for setting up the first forecast. It walks through the setup choices that usually matter most:

  • privacy and app lock
  • planning goals
  • accounts and starting balances
  • income, bills, loans, and transfers
  • final forecast creation

You can open Quick Start from Help to review setup, resume it if unfinished, or access restart and reset options.

Contextual guides

Contextual guides are short walkthroughs that appear around the feature they explain. They are meant to teach in place instead of sending you through one long tutorial.

Guides may appear for areas such as app navigation, income, bills, loans, assets, calendar or list view, clearing transactions, backup/sync/sharing, and settings.

After Quick Start is complete, the add menu may show Learn More. Use it to open short, optional walkthroughs for useful app features. These guides are repeatable and do not change your data unless you choose to take an action yourself.

If you already use Foreseenly

Existing users are not forced into Quick Start automatically. You can open Help to replay contextual walkthroughs or choose a reset option if you intentionally want to start over.

If you truly want to rebuild the app from the beginning, use the complete reset option. That is different from replaying a guide because it erases your current data and starts over.

Be careful with reset. A complete reset removes your Foreseenly data. Use it only when you truly want a clean start, and consider creating a backup first.

If your app still says Repeat Tutorial

Older app versions may still refer to the old tutorial or Repeat Tutorial. Foreseenly 1.17.0 and later uses Quick Start, Learn More, and contextual guides instead.

If you still see Repeat Tutorial, update Foreseenly CashFlow from the App Store when you are ready for the newer guide experience.

For the broader product guide, use the Foreseenly CashFlow User Manual.
