How to fix Archive's previous balance

Overview

If a transaction got deleted from the archive (history) at some point prior to version 1.10.5, this action resulted in the prior balance to be off by the sum of all deleted transactions. Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve this:

1. Recreate the Transaction (can be just a single transaction):

   • Create a new temporary transaction with the same amount as the one that was deleted (or the erroneous previous balance if they do not match).
   • When creating the transaction, select Process Today but make sure Update Balance is turned OFF.

2. Go to the Archive:

   • Turn ON the Archive view (tap the clock icon next to the Range).
   • Locate the new transaction you just created and Tap it.

3. Restore the Transaction:

   • Choose Restore, ensuring that Update Balance is turned ON this time and Save.

4. Turn off Archive:

   • Tap the Clock again to go back to the forecast view.
   • You can safely remove the restored temporary transaction from the Forecast view now and the previous balance should be corrected.

Please remember to restore a transaction from the Archive first before deleting it to avoid this.
