What is changing
Foreseenly™ CashFlow is adding Bank Reconciliation Beta as a manual review workflow. The goal is practical: let users compare a bank export file with an account in Foreseenly, review suggested matches or additions, and approve changes before anything is applied.
This is not live bank linking, automatic bank import, or bank sync. Foreseenly remains a private, manual-first cash-flow forecasting app built around user control.
Current beta path
Starting in Foreseenly CashFlow version 1.17.1, invited users can test Bank Reconciliation Beta on a DB Copy. Testing on a DB Copy keeps the workflow separated from the Live DB while matching, review behavior, and balance-impact handling are refined.
Live DB reconciliation is planned for version 1.17.4 or later. That timing may change as testing continues, because the feature touches transaction history and account balances.
Why DB Copy comes first
Reconciliation needs to be careful. A bank export can include duplicates, pending items, missing descriptions, different date formats, or transactions that do not map cleanly to an existing forecast item.
DB Copy testing gives users and QApps a safer way to review those cases before Live DB support is enabled. It also helps preserve the central promise of Foreseenly: understand what is happening before a decision or change affects the main forecast.
What users should expect
- Import or select a bank export file inside the app when the beta is available to you.
- Review suggested matches, possible matches, new transactions, duplicates, and conflicts.
- Choose what to apply instead of letting the app change records automatically.
- Use a DB Copy for testing until Live DB reconciliation is available.
For privacy, do not email bank exports or sensitive financial files to support. Support can help with workflow questions, but private financial files should stay with you.
